wrong..

ricers try to make things that arent fast look fast.

I go for function.

I used to drive on dirt/gravel backroads a lot, and it soon became a waste of money to change out the air filter ever couple weeks.

its no worse than those people who put wire mesh over the inlet of their turbos.

T-shirts as an air filter::wtf:

Functional? Okay, maybe. But that's not the point.

Ghetto?

Adam,
If you wanna do the T-shirt method, I will ship an old HKS t-shirt to you, no charge.

If you want the HKS part that you're looking for:

i went to autozone, snagged one of their 3" exhaust pipes and cut it down. one side is flared and fits in the stock elbow better. snagged some dumb ass autozone filter and tossed it on. done.

Just ordered 2 HKS filters. Better to have a backup and save on shipping now. Thanks guys.

Adam

after multiple people told you it's doesnt filter worth dick and that it can break apart and go into your turbo,

WHY WOULD YOU ORDER IT?

I could care less either way, but I have seen the dirt these "filters" let thru, and I would never run one on my car. the ONLY good thing is how shallow they mount.

HKS hasn't changed their airfilter since it was invented WAY back when, same with K&N...

they both have issues with oil getting in through into the AFM, not to mention foam filters break down and get eaten by your engine (11K RPM turbo smacking small particles of dirt, dust, and the airfilter it was in = BAD)

K&N's shrink and rot ( the rubber on em), and I wouldn't trust my engine to a cheap cone air filter from ebay or a part's store either (there have been threads on them being sucked into the intake and DESTROYING the turbo)

either say with the stock airbox (paper filters filter the best!), or get a decent airfilter...

don't even get me started on the Blitz SUS...
