Doesnt really seem negative. a smaller tire that grips more will do a better job than a wider shit tire. Up to you tho.

Might be able to fit it if you add some spacer.

Here is amar from sd. This is the most pull ive ever seen.

tyler i would say try to run those fr500 17x10.5 wheels. there is a member on here with those wheels on his silver mk3 and he is running a nice set of beefy tires on it with coilovers lowered. I would stick with a 275/40/17 tire in the back you might be able to put out a little bigger but you will need to do more fender work...that should be plenty and trust me that car looks pretty meaty with those 275's

1) Depends what side it gets welded to. If it's welded rear of where the face connects to the barrel (closer to the shock), it'll increase your offset by half the amount you widened it. Forward (towards the fender) would subtract half the amount widened from the offset; you'd have to rebarrel those Mustang rims to do that, though, because there's no outer lip to cut and weld to...better off buying a wheel that's already 11" wide.

your thinking too hard bleakvoid, its is that simple. ship em out add 2in behind the face of the rim and tada... 17x11 for a fraction of the price

specks of the seks!!!
F: 18 X 12J -18, 15mm spacer, 275/35R18 FK451

R: 18 X 12J -28, 15mm spacer, 275/35R18 FK451

Don't try this at home.
Front fenderwells are fully gutted to make room.
Negative camber upper control arms.
Arches were rolled and pulled before, now they have been cut off.
Flares are for a JDM Datsun 240ZG.
Tires to be replaced with stickier tread once these get burnt.

That needs shaved moldings to look right... bolt on fender flares over moldings is weird.

I'm *very* familiar with Weldcraft. They know me by phone number and first name, as I keep calling to get quotes on widening. You see...I need 17x15s. Check my build thread. Not to knock you, but I've learned more about rim design, modification and fitment than I care to discuss. Unless you're local to them, shipping there and back alone will cost more than getting a 17x11 Cobra replica. There's also MemoryFab over here in Union City, CA and Wright Wheels down in SoCal...other than that, it's pretty hard to find a fabricator that can modify aluminum wheels and has a track record for reliability, so guess what it does to the price?
