Ok who has fn01r-cs in the 17x10 flavor? they are 35 offset correct? I want to try to run a 18x10 w/ a 35 offset w/ a small 265 tire (hopfully fit it under the fender, if not i'll roll it). But any one have a side shot of the wheel lip vs the fender lip?

Thanks

what about a 18x8 up front? what offset should I look at getting 30-35?

stock offset, as stated before, is 37 mm. close enough for goverment work. 17x 10 may rub a bit though. i had 235's on 16's and it rubbed a bit when i swung into parking spots.

my 17x8s (w/ 245/45) are 35 offset. to maintain that ratio (which i think is perfect flush, no rolling required) then the offest will continue to get deeper as wheel width increases. I don't have time right now to fully describe it, but offset is mearly a ratio between the inside and outside centerline of the wheel. once you find the right outside width (from hub to fender), then start adding rim width to the inside. offset will change from here (the meausrement).

Here's an easy way to look at it. If you keep a 35mm offset but progressively get wider, the width will be split evenly betwween the inside and outside. So, if you go from a 17x8 (35mm) to a 17x9 (35mm)...1/2 inch to the inside width, and 1/2 inch to the outside. I always take a ruler and draw it out on paper first. That way I can see how much further out or in, a rim will be with the different offset. I currently have 18x9.5's on the rear of my car, w/ 275/35-18's. The car is on ST springs, stock struts...no rubbing issues at all. 18x10's, w/ a 35mm offset, is really pushing it though. If you roll fenders, it's no problem, but if you don't want to roll fenders, then you should put more of the width to the inside, say a 40-45mm offset.
Hope that helps you.

all right cool, Yea i'll probably roll my fenders. Its stock ride highth right now, but will bet getting a set of megan coilovers to go wit hthe rims.. hopfully should look good (once i get it painted). I want it to match the stance of Turbo Drifter's car on SF (not sure if hes on here) Love the way the wheels sit on the car (nice and flush, almost a little pushed out)
