wheel stud replacement

:1zhelp:Hey guys I need to put spacers on my 2000 solara. The factory studs are not long enough so I need to replace them with longer ones. I checked two different toyota forums and didn't find anything on them.Anyone have any ideas on where to get the info? Should be the same for the Camry.Avalon and ES300.

No one knows? A bunch of people viewed this thread, but no replys. Tell you what the first person that gets me to the right website so I can fix my Daily will get 5 bucks for a beer paypaled to them. I just really need to get this fixed so help a guy out.

1. Hammer out the old ones
2. greese the area where the stud will meet the hub
3. use a stack of washers and a lug nut to pull the lug nut though.

It would be easiest with an impact gun.

Ok Borhor will try tommorow. I just want to make sure that I don't have to mess with bearings and the like. When Tom B replaced the studs in his Supra he had to redo the bearings.

Ok beer money on hold till tommorow

I guess there is a chance of messing up the bearings but most of the impacting force is lost to the actual stud coming out so I do not think much of the banging gets to the bearings. And I don't drink so use that beer money to get your self some beers while you are working on this

Taking the hub apart and pressing them out and then in is the best way (and the way specified in the TSRM). If it has an ABS ring it's gonna be the only way...

Could use a C-clamp like I did on my corolla to push them out gently. Still had to get the brakes and other stuff out the way though
