boostadikt said:wheel spacers = bad.... i dont care how many people you know that use them without problems. spacers take the weight of the car off of the hub and put it on the studs causing tons of stress... i have taken off wheels that the studs have all been bent... also they leave less threads to bolt to also making it weaker. also you can get very incorrect torque readings from spacers.... the bolt on style are not nearly as bad, but still take the weight off the hub itself, it can change the camber angle slightly, but usually not enough to matter.... why dont you just buy wheels that have the right offset?
Cause I wanted the wheels off a rx7 3rd gen cause theyre dirt cheap and only about 15lb per wheel (as opposed to 23-24lb sawblades). Theyre 16x8 +50mm offset. Asked a guy who was running them on his supra w/o spacers and he says they rub in front when he's not carefull while turning.boostadikt said:.. why dont you just buy wheels that have the right offset?
I can get my hands on a set of 4 for $150 or so. Used of course. I dont much care about looks as long as they perform good. Tryin to keep the sleeper look on my bpu 1jz :naughty:boostadikt said:dirt cheap?.... i had a set that i bought at employee pricing from a national wherehouse and the still cost 220$ for 2... i used them for drag radials... but point is you can get a MUCH better looking wheel IMO for not much more, they are prolly the lightest wheel for the price yeah but unless your building something crazy i doubt the extra 3-4 lbs per wheel is gonna hurt you... and if you are building something crazy you prolly have enough for some drag lights which actually are only about 170$ a wheel for some really nice 17's
rx-7 wheels are ugly... again IMO
