Hey all,

Dunno if this is the right section (mods please move accordingly), but I have a wheel stuck onto my lawnmower axle. The rear wheel, to be specific. I got the other off successfully, but i think the square pin that locks the wheel to the axle (slides in along a groove in the axle/wheel) is rusted in place. I wd40'd it, heated it, tapped it, beat it, smashed it, petted it, and it wouldn't come off. I pulled out the 5 ton puller and it only hinted at bending the wheel. Any suggestions?

Roll mower perpendicular to ground with bad wheel to the sky. Then, fill the keyway "square hole" with PB BLASTER and let sit. Do this for awile. Then, use a block of wood (4in x 4in) and hammer to pound on axle flush with wheel hub. After that, use a metal rod(3/8in extenion) to pound axle out of wheel. All of this while someone uses a 2x4 board to pry on wheel.(between wheel and frame) :DISCLAIMER: oil will leak from motor when on side....
