I just got some new 5-zigen FN01R-C staggered rims. Fronts are 17x8 and rears are 17x9, both with a +35 offset. I'm thinking about going 285/40 series in the back. Would there be any rubbing issues or any other problems. My rear is dropped about 1.75 inches. Thanks guys.

IMHO, a 265 or a 275 would be better suited to a 9" wide rim. Otherwise you'll probably deal with alot of side wall slop which will make your steering input less responsive.

Stock suspension? Or modified? If you'r running a modified suspension (ie coilovers) then you won't have any problem at all and shouldn't have to roll the fenders.

Right now it's on stock suspension, with the stock springs cut. Soon I'll be installing The Tokico struts with the Eibach Springs. Eibach springs have a slight drop only. 1.0 inches in the rear.

if the springs are cut.. how u know its a 1.75 drop? .. lol.. aside from the fact that cut springs decrease the effectiveness of the spring.. ur ride height would by no means be perfect on these... i say do 275 for the rear and 235-245 for the front.. AFTER .. u get ur new suspension setup.. 275s should fit with that offset no problem

Well when i cut the stock springs to drop it, i measured a little over 1.5 inches and that's how i cut. So i estimated about 1.75 inches dropped. Right now I have my Work Mesh rims on 17x8 with 275 tires and it is still far from rubbing

Cut springs are dangerous. That being said, we have an entire thread dedicated to wheel fitment, please post all wheel related questions in that thread.

Your question might even be covered already in there, check out the first page of the thread. I'm closing this one down. :) PM me if you have any problems with this.
