140 blowing the doors off a WRX. He tried, but FAILED. Smooth as silk just after installing Eibachs, and Tokiko TEMS. Wouldn't have known how fast I was going, if I wasn't watching the speedo.

New the magazine test cars did 132 from memory so your 21 year old car is magic.... (and I seriously doubt that the test cars were perfectly stock they seldom are)

OK the tallest 235 Toyo do are 45's so to get your 135 Mph you were doing 6300 rpm.... (if they're 40's it's 6500) as I said "magic" 
I think it's more a case of an optimistic speedo, my 86 na was in very good condition and it wouldn't go much over 128 no matter what I did (going by a GPS)

In MEXICO!!! I had my car up to 145 mph, stock everything except intake and exhaust. Felt pretty good, was on a slight downhill straight away, then slight uphill. Automatic and still felt like it had pull, i backed off cause i don't have a rear swaybar.
i was messin around with a buddy of mine that had an integra, i let him pass and then got it up around 140,passed him like he was standing stilll. it was ok getting up there but after i backed off, it was a little scary as the whole car lunged down, and the suspension wasnt too good, Note: This was on 205/60/16's, H-rated,,,,hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,, lol:sarcasm:
I wasn't trying to top it out but i got it over 130 racing a guy with a v-8 swapped into a small chevy blazer. We started at 60 and i easily had 20 or more car lengths on him by 130 and i started at 3400 rpms.
