180 plus is crazy...you better have your stuff in check before hitting that. One bump or loose something and it is over. At those speeds everything has a consequence.

It was on it's way out and that high speed blast finished it off. Two weeks later it started heating up.

I had the speedometer pointed straight down at one point in a 91 .... maybe over 160.. That was pre Gps.. Just had my new supra to 150 and it was fine.. Road Evo9mr that was stock with a cat back and went 178 on flat ground and that was by Gps not the speedo, We were both pretty surprised that it went that fast. It would have gone faster but we were at are exit.

In my hyundai accent I maxed out at 110. It was downhill on I-80 in PA, it's in the mid-later exits a huge hill.

I am yet to try or even think of going fast in my Supra!

I guess we aren't going to get an answer on year and ECU. I didn't want to wave the flag at the obvious right away. I wanted to give him a chance.

The car isn't tunnel tested to anything near those speeds.

The speedo in my TTR only goes to 180km/h, but the needle keeps going :evil2:
So my top speed is whatever 255/40R17 tires, a 4.10 Torsen, R154 in 5th and 6000RPM works out to.
I keep meaning to record it with my GPS but I pulls like that in the spur of the moment.
