it's a 90, but it was an N/A

front end swap and turbo swap probably...

probably a front end colission as the hood, ect doesn't line up right, also notice it's been resprayed (look under the mirrors)

more pics are needed though

just got a reply

"All decals were striped, my friend who I bought it from put the 86.5-88 bumper because he preffered it over the next style but the original bumper is still in our possesion"

There is a 90 Supra Turbo on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990...04QQihZ007QQcategoryZ6447QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I sent the guy a message asking if he was mistaken due to the VIN being MA70. He sends me a message back

"I am absolutly sure its a turbno. Pictures of the engine bay will be up by tommorrow."

So I asked him back

"another thing i noticed is, you list it as a 90 turbo. It has an 86.5-88 bumper. It also has no spoiler, nor does it have the turbo badge on the trim below the driver tail. Was the car wrecked or something?"

Now, i'm not trying to break balls here, but doesn't this sound shady to you guys?

If you look at the third pic in the picture gallery look at the drivers side door edge below the mirror. Looks like heavy bondo builup. I suspect the front end body work has been replaced (collision?) that would account for the diff. (early MKIII) bumper without seeing in person of course could not confirm. Does anyone else see this.

Apparently its a swap, here is the pic of the engine bay that he posted. Still, its shady considering the motor does not have the same mileage as the car.

also, note the harness connectors to the right of the accordian pipe, kinda looks hacked in there...I don't think he realizes that it is not the original motor.

Did the N/A models go to 160 on the speedo? I know my old 89 turbo went to 160, but I thought all N/A went to 140? If they went to 140, hes got a different cluster in there which means his mileage is not correct....

If anybody knew anything you would know that the 86.5-92 is the first gen Supra anyway. Get it straight.

With the 90+ N/A's, the speedo gauge does go to 160. Mine does, but the car doesn't hit 160, it tops out around 135-140 lol.

Why is it that everyone thinks that the maximum speed on the speedo is "how fast the car can go"? The speedo's limit means nothing. It's kinda like how people buy tires rated for 150MPH+ and think that they can drive that fast in any car...:nono:

just looking at the engine bay pics it looks WAY less packed then my engine bay and i've only seen it look so empty if there has been a swap.
