Whats the vacuum on the boost gauge mean?

I installed a boost gauge on my car a few weeks ago and have been wondering what the vacuum is suppose to mean. My gauge is reading 20 Hg.-Vac at idle. Is this normal? I have a full 3 in exhaust from the turbo with no cats, air filter and boost set to 12 pounds if any of that means anything.

Yes, that vacuum reading is normal.

What you have your boost controller set at is irrelevant.
