I saw a guy driving a wrecker to the scrap yard where they crush the cars on the spot .... So I offered the guy 500 for for the whole car ... It was a 1990 supra turbo ht .... no dents , just needs paint & everything from the short block & up ..... I looked inside & what did I see , ?
A blitz boost controller & GReddy turbo timer .
I feel I rescued the car from the JY ..... So does that count ?:sarcasm:

Complete MKI in great condition. They wanted $800 for it so I told them I would be back. I went back a few days later with the cash and walked in just in time to see them crush it. Apparently they needed to make their quota. Fuck California.

Also found a 77 Celica liftback and a modded Starion that had been crashed somewhere.

saw a mkIV in the yunk yard. first time and last time ever.

Wow, considering wrecked shells go for like $7k on ebay that's quite a find! The only semi-rare thing I've found is a super monitor :( There's so many people at the local junkyard things get snatched up like crazy! The only reason I got the super monitor is cause the supra just arrived (I watched them tow it in!) and the turbo was already gone.

I know this is backwards but my CD5 went to the JY with 1 of maybe 5 g22 built engines in the world. That's a f22 block with h22 head, kind of like a ls vtech swap. This was a few years ago when we first developed the know how to do the G22.

oh and it had lots of goodies on it. Precision SC61 BB turbo, custom mani... you get the idea. Some one striped it before i got the chance to buy the car back:cry:

I found a 6-71 Blower that had been worked by Blower Drive Service in the back of a pickup in the junk yard back in the 80's.

Guy sold it to me for $50 and wanted to know why I wanted crap for an old Detroit Diesel. :D

Just the other weekend I saw a 87T listed on craigslist from a salvage yard. I noticed it had TT rims on it so I stopped by. It had 315 Michelin Pilots on the back and 235's on the front. The front have around 35% tread left, back are toast. I picked the rims up for $220 with tires. The car also had a authentic BIC DDP ($75), stainless brake lines, Bosch BOV, new hood struts and all sorts of little things I needed like fender well liners, gas tank protector and an unbroken BVSV. Got the other pile of things for $50. So all and all, not a bad haul. There's still plenty of goodies left on the ride like what appears to be brand new blue interior (you could tell it was swapped from oxblood). I just don't need anything else right now. The best part tho is they take the parts off for you, so I didn't even get my hands dirty :naughty:

what did you end up doing with that blower?

rarest thing I have found(supra related) is a r154 tranny. we dont have much here in canada, its rare just to find a complete car that hasnt been pilfered.. i guess its because all the old toyotas here rusted out and were disposed of about 10 years ago.

A BDS blower for $50?? You lucky dog....

Doesn't get more 80s than a pro-street with a roots blower ;) Did it have a wild paint scheme too?

1992 MKIII with a 1jzgt engine in it...everything there...i think its still there

You know they made ~15 1jz mk3 USDM? Reason they arent around anymore is because you couldnt get parts for them.
