I once had dirty headlights and the spray did nothing to clean them. Pretty useless IMHO.

ahHAH....that's....the first or maybe second negative on their vadility.

but i guess it all depends on what's stuck to the lights.

personally I never let my car get dirty enough to have to just wash my lights...

has anybody used the sprayer with the lights down? lol... you might be able to get quadra windshield washer action right there....

They are meant to be used for the hard core over the road traveler in freezing, snowy, wet and salt covered roads. Can you .................
That's exactly right, most all of the Canadian released cars had them, The sprayers do work for raod sludge which they were designed for.

somebody should get a little video clip of these suckers in action....they sound nutty.... lol. it must be fun to watch if they have enough pressure to splash water off the lights and onto another car....:biglaugh:

The nozzles are also a good place to route a n2o purge...

But we all know that spraying water at ricers is more fun.

Someone should wire it up to a remote for when you're in a parking lot with ricers gawking.

That reminds me of spring break in Palm Springs...back in the day.

Well we used to go to junk yards and get extra wiper bottles and pumps and rig em all up to work on different switches. Then when you would cruise by some guy on a nice bike with a chick ina thong on the back...you could squirt em from all different angles...

OK, Im showing my dorkness again arent I?

The headlights can get very dirty on long highway drives especially when it's even slightly muddy or slushy. I don't think I've ever used them in the city, but on the highway, they are quite useful. I use them on a semi-semi-regular basis on the highway.

They were standard on all 87-88 Turbos, and were still standard on 89-92 Canadian Turbos, though they were completely discontinued from the USA in 89.

They were optional on pre-89 N/A models, and were also discontinued for the N/A in the USA market in 89, but continued to be offered as an option on the N/A in Canada until 1990 (the last year the N/A was offered in Canada -- 91-92s were all Turbo).

i went to college in the UP of MI....LOTS of snow/ice. having headlight washers was great.

now that the supra is mostly a garage queen, they're pointless. if you use 'em you'll have to wash the car....that said, i still think they're dang cool. headlight washers FTW!

My cousin's '87 supra turbo doesn't have headlight washers. We live in KY so I doubt it came from across the border; I wonder why his doesn't have any?

1. check VIN, if it's MA70XXXXXXXX the car was originally NA

2. check for the button inside and the tubing/pump outside, it could be as simple as someone swapping nose pieces.

I was at an intersection and a squeeqee guy came up and started washing my lights, I hit the washer button and he jumped back, it was worth it to have them just for the look on his face...other than that, I don't use them...
