What's the little hole in the bottom of the water pump?

I would recommend the Aisin at the extra couple $'s.;)

I even gently filed the stamped blade edges which were "rough" on the off-droop side, and expect while MINIMAL, it helps reduce some turbulence.:biglaugh:

^I don't intend to make money on it. ;)

For some reason the turbo's from 90-92 list a different PN from the supras from 87-89 Turbos which share the Water Pumps with the N/A's from 87-92....lol And the one FS is the "NA" one. Which costs a pretty penny less; where as the Turbo one through Aisin takes ages to get. (and i have time to kill right now. ;))

I'm going to take it out take a bunch of crutual measurements and send it on its way; if he wants it...lol

Actually only the 87-88 lists the same water pump for N/A and Turbo. 89+ the 7M-GTE had a different part number than the 7M-GE.

Poodles, as far as the bearing goes, typically when Toyota enlarges the bearing, the pulley would also change (to provide correct offset for the belt), however the pulley did not change.

They fan clutch did change though, so perhaps they just enlarged the bearing diameter, not 100% sure.

I should check at work to see if I have a 1989 NCF book to see if they list what changes they made. Might be interesting to know.

With that said.

I have one of these. 55 shipped to Humbolt. ;)

You know you want it! And shipping will take you a day. ;)

For 58 i'll give you a tube of Grey RTV.

/VERY SHAMEFUL Plug. ;)

If we can make sure this is the same or equivalent and fine for the 7mge, and it is new, I will most likely purchase it from you. So the one you offer me is a new in box one too?

It should still work though right despite different numbers? I'm also using a dampener from a turbo, it looks to be the same.

I called toyota, the seals I am replacing (oil pump *seal* and crank seal that touches timing gear) along with the pump total to $166...the pump alone was $129 and I supplied him with the part number 16100 and that my car was a 1987.

Hopefully he pulled the right prices...?

Oil pump is 300+ through toyota!

Okay, okay. Call down brown man :p

It's really that much? Damn. Well, not too bad as it's one of the most important parts of the engine.

And my discount is MSRP -20% as well, just through another dealer

If you know someone who's an Aisin Dealer; you'll be surprised what the actual cost is on a turbo pump. ;)

I thought you said you needed a water pump, yet you ordered an oil pump?

THANK YOU!! I was wondering about that. I'm going to price everything I wanted to buy, looks like he's quick to post back.

Does Royal Moore Toyota give similar discount compared to Champion or Vancouver Toyota?

Royal Moore is faster than Champion; Shipping and Processing Wise.

Cost wise is a little more; but free shipping is FTW IMO.

Ken Blake is my type of people; too. ;)

Discount at Champion is like 28-29% with Shipping Charges.

Royal Moore is 20% with free shipping.
