No it's not...
It would just have to be 1200hp at 1575600 rpm.

lol. ok. wow.

yeah i dont really know how the numbers work yet.

to me its kinda like...ok a 2jz can do it so how could it be IMPOSSIBLE for a 1jz to? now i know. and thanks inline6 and mieke....

can one of you PM me how you figure that? i should be able to calculate the torque/HP relationship since i've had physics but....i havent really made a connection between the two.... and how exactly they are different.

(TQ x rpm)/5252=HP

Hp is just an expression of torque combined with rpm. Thats why I think its dumb when people say tq wins races and hp sells cars. They are directly related and I think HP takes 1 more variable into account with rpm providing more info. I always use the crotch rocket example.

I believe this is the North American record. At least known record, barring the rumor of the 1000whp stock bottom end 1JZ in Florida that I keep hearing about...

Who knows what those crazy Japs are doing with it.

my friend armin bought a blitz ecu from the guy that has the car. i havent seen it myself, but from what he says i beleive it is real at this point. he has seen it iirc and has no reason to lie to me about that car. i think the guy is in the miami.ft.lauderdale area.

Smiley from Florida posted his 1JZ dyno chart on SF a while back. I beleive it was 980ish rwhp. The dyno gragh looked like a long road with a cliff at the end.

Too bad top dog 1JZ at SILV just dynoed at 325 rwhp, with a turbo upgrade. Average was 300, with 7M's with equal mods beating them up and down.

Unless all those 1JZ owners can't tune.

It does suck that no one else could put down better power. 325 could be done fairly easily with stock turbos. But oh well. Last year, the highest stock twin record at vegas was 371 from a 1J(MK3s and MK4s in the same class.) but that doesn't mean MK4s are weak. We know they can make power. Stu did 500 again, stock turbos. Pretty insane! :ugh2:
