You might have to tap into the bolt and shove something in it like a small screw driver to turn it. Alot of PB blaster would help. Worst case, youd have to drill out the old screw and re-thread it.

Most good welders can weld to the broken bolt and remove it. Steel weld won't stick to the head so the bolt should come right out. If not drill and tap. It takes a lot of time and skills but it works.

If you’re going to drill get a set or new good bits start with the smallest bit you feel ok with use a variable speed drill and keep the speed low for the small bits, use a center punch to indent the metal in the center of the bolt. And go to town stepping up the bit sizes one after the other till it’s all gone then tap.

hope that helps.

I removed the broken bolt in the flywheel I bought used (poor seller, didn't even warn me about it) using a fluted extractor. Drill a hole through the bolt, then use a crescent wrench to implant the bolt extractor. You may need to drill a progressively bigger hole until you get it to go inside enough that it bites. Bolt extractors are spun counter-clockwise to bite into the metal, so when it finally gets stuck inside and you keep spinning on it it will finally back out the broken bolt.

Also, google is your friend (I searched for "how to extract a broken bolt")

well, if just the head broke off you can just remove the y pipe and use vice grips on it, im sure you know that but some people may not have figured that out if they had a similar problem.

once you get intake off.... If you have a torch heat it and the area around it till its red but NOT MELTING... then hit it with cold water... the two diferant materals contract at diferant rates... therfor usally relasing..

that sounds like a recipie for melting or cracking your upper intake.

you can try a bolt extractor, but my guess is if you broke the head off while trying to take it off...its not coming out easily. you will most likely have to drill and tap.

or you could do what someone else wanted to do when they couldnt get some cam cover bolts out...get a new motor. :nono:

easy outs have a left hand thread so as you loosen they tighten... there pretty cool. although i have broken one before and i now have a scar because the metal was damn near molten hot, and when it broke i smashed my knuckle into the bolt head... yeah... wasnt cool at all. so be careful!
