Seriously, I want more lightning. Stock lightning is not THAT bad (at least when compared to an Integra '93 I owned years ago). But I want better lightning. I don't wanna mess with the fog lights, just better lightning in the popups.

I tried to buy some cheap "diamond cut projector headlights" from ebay, turns out he's out of stock and going to return my funds (ack!). Anyways, what would be a good idea? I just want some GOOD lightning, don't want 14,000 K xenon light and blind everyone. Plus, I read xenon is better used with projector lights, and we don't have projectors... so dunno if that's any good. Anyways, I don't wanna spend a lot of money on this, so xenon is out of the question. Just want more light, for little money! :) What do you guys have to recommend?

Go with a nice set of Hella H4 lenses and a good set of PIAA bulbs. Will be better than stock - and WAY better than those diamond cut lenses.

I have Hella H4 Housings and Silverstar Bulbs and I couldn't have been happier aside from HID's. You'll be amazed at the clearer, whiter pattern you'll get. Before the H4 Silverstar's, I had 6054 Silverstar replacements which, at the time, I thought were amazing compared to stock, and they were. H4's are just that much better.

I am looking at this webpage:

http://www.rallylights.com/hella/200mm.asp

Specifically at Part Number H6054J. Member of this forum Sabotage sold them a few days ago.

I see the bulbs are 100/80W. Now, I'm a newbie when it comes to lights, and haven't had time to read the entire David Stern page to learn more about them. My question is: do I need like another source of power for this? Like those xenon things do? Or would it work normally like my current stock sealed beams do?

ive got that :) and its damn sexy, i just sold a set of them.

Very good lights, and VERY good company to buy from. Prompt shippers, and no H4 lights are a DIRECT bolt in (from what i used)

the only issue ive got is i have the E-Code euro housings and they had to be adjusted a bit. other then that their damn sexy :naughty: :biglaugh:

Oh yah im using these:
Part #: H6054J
Kit with Optilux 100/80w Xenon White XB +100% H4 Bulbs
Price: $100.92

Looking at my cars lights through a reflective window when im in a parking spot they give off a slight blueish color and are hell'a bright :)

Please keep in mind that the original poster did say "I don't wanna spend a lot of money on this". That puts the NSX lights, HID, and the Hella 90mm lenses out of the picture.

The best option - keeping all of the requirements from the original post in mind - is the Hella H4 upgrade, although there are other possibilities out there that cost more.

That Daniel Stern site is the FULL of great information! For those doing custom lighting please spend some time reading over that site.

One thing that has been repeated over and over on various lighting sites is that you should not simply put an HID bulb into a lens that was not designed for it. This will be dangerous for both you and oncoming drivers.

NSX lights look to be a great - slightly expensive - option. The lines of the lens flow perfectly with the lines of the MkIII body. A lot of custom work involved there.

The Hella 90mm projector lights are available in both Halogen and HID (HID versions will run you about what the non-HID NSX headlights cost).

Doing a fixed headlight on a MkIII will require creating a bubble (this is not an option to me). The rise is not enough to get adequate light on the road as much of it will be cut off by the nose.

Whatever you choose to do please do so with care. Do not create lighting that is less functional than the factory lighting. If you can't at least match the factory lighting then you shouldn't be doing this project - no matter how cool you think it looks.

KeithH: If you said you were sticking to my original post, then you should know I'm looking for something that _lights up better_, not something that just "looks" better. I don't care for the looks of my lights FFS! Hehehe, I just want to see the road more, so I avoid holes/bumps easier and maybe even a possible crash. (being a little extremist with that last one).

I think I will go with the thing Satobage said, that same P/N and everything.

Hey Sabotage, what did you mean you had to "adjust" them? You mean moving the stock little things to make the light point in the right direction? Or something else that requires some skill or someone who knows a lot about this... ?

just adjust the screws. Youll get an info packet w/ the H4 lights that explains EXACTLY how to adjust :)

That is exactly what I said:
"The best option - keeping all of the requirements from the original post in mind - is the Hella H4 upgrade, although there are other possibilities out there that cost more."

The link Sabotage posted was for the Hella H4 lenses. I just added other information for the other people that were discussing other options.
