I agree with that starbucks idea, if you have one local id look into that, i was with a girl once who worked at starbucks, and they do treat their employees good and the money isnt bad either... plus you get free drinks.

About the supermarket thing, i worked for Acme markets for about two years, and the money wasnt that great, but the job wasnt bad. Im also a hard worker and hustler. I didnt mind stocking shelves, its simple once you get the hang of where everything is and you will have fun with your fellow employees. A job is a job and money is money, you dont have to love a job while youre in highschool, its your career that you have to enjoy doing.

My recommendation is to swallow your pride and take what you can get for now, because no matter what you do it will be a good lesson about what work really is and a lesson in job ethics. Its a good experience to take a lack lustre job for now so you can see how lucky you are in the future when you get the job youve been waiting for.

You think it is now, If its retarded reasons then the next employer will look at it. They do look at things like that, maybe not at a waiting tables job or fast food or restocking, but higher end jobs is what I'm talkin about.

i used to sell kirbys....yeah the vaccuum cleaner...no, really

1200 per week, working a couple of hours in evening,if you have the balls to pull it off...it aint easy

I worked that job for a few days and it sucked. 2 of my 3 days were 13 hours each, and showing people that little filter just so they could see how dirty their house was is pretty gross. They said it paid $400 a week but only if you sold I think 12 vacuums a week which is pretty damn hard arund here.

Im a senior in High school it's not easy finding a good job with little to no experience. Im currently working at a steak n shake doing both service to production and it sucks but being a waitor on a friday night working 3rd shift you would make close to 250 a night depending on how drunk the people are after the clubs and bars have closed.

Well I was referring to the types of jobs he's looking at.
It all depends on the reasons that you were fired also, not just that you were fired.

no pyramid...it's a straight consignment deal, you buy from the distburitor, at the time my cost was like 800, it retailed for like 1600 you had some room to deal with the people (btw they front you the product)

you can make as much as you want really, average a person will close about 1 in 4 demos, that dollar ammount was working about 3-4 hours on weekday evenings

See then you would be like the guy I worked for, He bought all the vaccums from the distibutor then hires a bunch of highschool kids to work the corners and sell the vacuums.

van crews kinna sucked,but i made good money while i was on one. its all about picking your "mark"

like said, it's up to the person.
i spent most of my time running on leads out of telemarketing dept.

it's a waste of time to work crews during weekdays, no housewife is gonna buy a 2k vacuum cleaner with out hubby's ok,and you have to have hubby there with his hands on the machine to get him to bite...it's easier to sell hubby than wife, damn machine kicks ass, and lets face it, guys like shiny, powerful "tools"
