Much different setups, but the spec 3+ in my dads cobra has been great and holds 600+ tq with no problems. With the lightweight flywheel on it it's not too bad once you get used too it, aside from it being somewhat stiff due to it being a cable clutch rather then a hydraulic. Thats why i picked up a used spec stage 1 for my supra, should hold me over for awhile while im not making much power.

I installed an Autozone Duralast clutch in my turbo car when I was bone stock. I needed a clutch bad, and didn't have $500 to buy an upgraded one at the time. I eventually started modding my car, and always told myself that I would get around to upgrading the clutch when it wouldn't hold anymore.

The car ended up running high 12's @ 111's with drag radials on that Duralast clutch. The only time it would slip was when I hot lapped it for a third time.

You don't need to waste your money on an upgraded clutch. You have an n/a. Save your money and get the cheapest clutch set you can find. It will hold.

i've had my rps twin disc carbon/carbon since feb 1st, loving every minute of it, it does not make any noise like the exedy twin disc clutches, some people say it's trash, but i'm not a mk4 that makes over 800 rwhp and torque, to break the strap on the pressure plate, but now i do see that they designed a better one with a, billet pressure plate strapless design, i've got over 20k miles on my carbon/carbon and i've abused the crap out of the clutch, i made 510 rwhp, and 420 torque :icon_razz , i guess my torqueless 1jz can't break this clutch ahhahaa
but prior to this clutch i had a lightend flywheel with act 6 puc *Sprung* and sized that clutch onto the flywheel, i slip the piss out of the clutch also, don't glaze any of the discs because of the carbon material

Usually support isnot needed but the couple of times I called SB, their support is untouched.

As for RPS, cold day in hell before I ever recommend that exemplary company that has zero clue what support is, to anyone. I know I am not the only one here.

i ended up getting a autozone clutch ...suprisingly the bearings were made in japan.basicly i figured out i have an n/a and headers will give +5-10 more hp and im done after that until boost.

which wont be coming for a few years.so il just upgrade to one of the high stage southbend clutches when im actually putting down some power.

Kinda curious on input on something, what would be a good clutch for the 7m that is in a truck and used as a truck? Something I may build but still working out the details. I know a stocker just wont due with the added wieght of the vehicle plus pulling something every once in a while.
