it made it sound more raspy after about 3500 rpm's..IIRC..935 motorsports has a budget intake kit for $50..they also have an exhaust kit..hardpipe is from a civic..you can get it from autozonechris717 said:

race from a dig, a decent launch good tires should hold him off. From a roll i would try to go from 65 or so in third and hope i got enough torque to get a descent jump and hold them off. Mods needed intake and exaust.If you lose go turbo or add a clutch and nitrous 
yeah i think from a dig would be good because those b-16's have no tq....
But from a roll they do have some decent top end...

it also depends on what gen of b16 it is, they all have different hp numbers. On the subject of racing one, I raced my buddy's civic with a b16 in it with intake and exhaust, i had no mods all stock NA power and i took him by about a car length. It also depends on what gearing you have how good of a driver you are and if you LSD, now you keep asking if you can take him thats up to you, everyones car is different, just race the dude and show him what supra are about, and if your so worried about if it will do it then just put some mods on and you will be good.
