250 hp wont happen in an N/A without a built motor with high compression. So when you say "what will it take an N/A to get there?... the answer is.... nothing.

As far as being consistent and reliable, thats ALL I've been aiming for with this car. :) I wanted a semi-sporty, reliable cruising car and that's exactly what I found in the MKIII N/A.

Enjoy it. Lower it. Enjoy more. Fix the interior. Enjoy even more.

What he said, except the lowering part, it's an unnecessary expense right now.

Freshen up the interior, drive and enjoy. Save up $$$$ for a GTE swap if you are wanting to make power.

I turbo'd my 86.5 and love it. It's a stock 7MGTE.

it most assuredly is a 7m-ge. defiantly first thing i looked at when i popped the hood for the first time.

Work that was done
Front ceramic brake pads
Front disc brake
valve cover gasket
spark plug wires (geeesh! $$$)
spark plug
distributor cap assembly
rotor

1,800 for the car.
252 fees
672 parts + labor
160ish smog + registration.

1,800 for the car, did i come up on a good deal?

Well... how about drive it.. fix it up get inside fixed up... lota supras getting parted... buy the whole inside for a few hundred... and in a few years maybe sell get a turbo or keep... but i think these cars will go up in value alot... n/a and turbos... its my personal belief and not many share it with me.. but clean nice supras will be in demand and there are few of them...so the price goes up...

o and your A/C if NA cars are same at turbos.. theres a 10 amp fuse under the right kick panal.. theres a 10 mm nut .. take panal off and look wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy behind the box check it... and if thats ok then theres a A/C clutch relay under the main fues box under hood... I just had to check out gfs 88 and looks like the relay bad.. have not double checked yet.. but anyway those some things to check if all the stuff works and it should work and full of freon but the clutch dont engage....

These cars arn't the best to own when you arn't making a lot of cash. They tend to eat a hole in your wallet real soon if you fix things properly.

In cali i don't know if you would have too much luck selling for about 3K for an N/A, especially an older one. On the up side, it looks like a really clean car from your pics, and may be worth holding on to until you make better money so you can really put some love into the car.

if you hang in there and keep with it it could be a very nice car. If not, i my insane roommate may want to talk to you about purchasing the car from you since he is looking for a HT shell with no rust and is willing to ship :D

either way, best of luck with the car. Oh, you should post more pics too :)

if i were to ever swap anything into my 86.5.... it would defintaley be a 1jz, or a 2jz... or a 1jz bottom end with a 2jz head... haha... but something jz. and thats what matters.

althought i am having a ton of fun rebuilding my 7m with forged internals!
