so..here is an interesting story...


my girfriend's best friend's uncle had a 91 supra rotting away in his backyard.
i have a 87 turbo in extreme need of an engine and tranny.

i asked him if it would even turn over, and guess what? it did! i gave him 200 bucks bucks, rippied it all apart, took what i needed....then, AFTER i dropped my money...

i had realized the head had been blown, and the block was cracked.


isn't that hilarious?

so, i went in search of another turbo 7m, and found the price has somehow gone up? the same site i found a while ago, would sell an engine AND tranny for about 1300 bucks, plus shipping. pretty nice. now, i see JUST the engine for anywhere between 900-1400 bucks. and i cant find a damn transmission anywhere actually.

this is bull. God Himself seems to want to keep me away from cars...perhaps there is a great reason behind this..but..i want my damn car running!!!!


so.

anyone got an engine and 5 spd tranny they can part with? i went through the for sale thread and found only expired sales...maybe im just blind, but thats all i saw...

i'm tired of getting boned..though i suppose i do it to myself...

i have learned a new thing today...i suppose there is a decent ending after all......

Is the block in your 87 any good? Frankenmotor!


I feel your pain. My friend blew the motor in his MKI Supra, I found one in teh junkyard, and had gotten 90% through the motor swap only to find out the new motor had more metal in the pan than the old one.

oh not at all. my 87 has it guts at all. paid three hundred bucks for it. 2 way lsd with 4.11 gears, 5 spd, white, targa, turbo...PERFECT grey leather int...just no guts hahaha.
