I used AN-12 fitting and hose though...closer to the stock hose ID. Plus it made installing a MR2 alternator a snap!

IIRC mine is a 5/8". I went down to autozone and found a piece with a 90* bend, couple bucks.

You can tell it's not, just by the way the hose is made and the lack of that foam covering...
But if it works, well then who gives a shit. Plus it was cheap as hell.
