What should i do??

Ok well this is how im going to start off.

I just recently put in a 60-1 trim turbo and i know 7m are famous for there BHG!!! lol. my motor was rebuilt with just about 30,000km on the clock as what the previous owner said.

My question is this, should i replace the headgasket with a metal one before i come up with the BHG or just re-torque the oem bolts to make a tightier seal with the oem HG?? and also how much boost can a stock headgasket take before it lets it self go??

I would re-torque the head bolts to 70-75 ft/lbs...use the TSRM pattern and do it in two passes (assuming the bolts are at the stock 56 ft/lbs).

Boost wise - you'll be safe up to 14 psi or so on a stock HG. I assume you already have a 3" downpipe...above that, you'll need additional supporting mods.

yeah.. well the cars just sitting right now. and theres a buncha parts ordered already. But im guessing 14 will do for now, but before the summer i guess ill get my head machined and install a mhg.

Why not run a combustion leak test first to see if its even leaking.

Let me decipher that for you.

That means your car had an oil change and a brake job within the last 30k kms.

i dont know about the brakes lol. i know i did the oil change :biglaugh:
but i will do a compression test once i get a chance to.

just take off the valve covers and see if there are ARP head studs or bolts in there. if there are then just retorque them for peace of mind and call it a day!
