If you (personally) think your car is in that bad of shape as far as appearance goes, then by all means get it up to par with your needs.
Ask anyone - It's HARD (better yet, EXPENSIVE) to have TONS of power and yet, still have a great looking car (more than just sleek and clean).
If you think you really crave that extra "Push you down in your seat, Neck breaking, whiplashing, nasssty" feel...Then get a bigger turbo.
As for Joes comment... a 300hp SUPER clean MKIII or a 600hp "not so great" looking MKIII....

I'd rather have the 600hp. Of course, assuming the car isn't hideous...but needs some minor work.
