What sensors are different between the 88 and 89 GTE's?

I am almost ready to put the 88 GTE into the 89. What sensors are different between the 2 years? I am using the 89gte harness so I want to make sure that I have all of the right sensors before I put on the harness.

Off the top of my head, the cold start injector temp switch is, and I'm sure there are others...

I think it should.

I'm assuming this is going into a pre-89 car? Might have issues where the engine wiring harness connects to the body harness. The pinouts are different.

No ....let me explain...

I bought an 88GTE parts car for the drivetrain. My car is an 89 GE. I bought a brand new 89 harness for the GTE so I want to make sure that I did not need any additional sensors before putting the harness on.

So I have the sensors that came with the 88 GTE and the ones off the 89 GE.

Ah, ok. It will be obvious what sensors don't work when you go to assemble (if you assemble on the stand with the wiring harness as well which is the best way)

I know someone said the TPS was different.....so I wanted to make sure as I have an opportunity to get any missing sensors this weekend.

Yeah, the engine I have in my car is a pre-89 and I just took everything off my old engine to put on the new one. You're also changing to a GTE so that throws a few kinks into that idea...

I will check in a bit, there aren't many sensors that are different.

You'll need an 89 ECU though.
