Never would have thought that the Celica was wide enough in the rear to do this sort of cut and paste job. I am reading a rather thick book on the Celica and Supra history at the moment, wonder if I will come across this in there?
Other than the aerodynamic improvements, I can't see why else you would want to do that, the 1st gen Celicas were gorgeous. Oh well, for all we know the original panels were so far beyond the ability of the person who converted it to repair, that they decided to do what we see here. Beer and working on cars always seemed like a bad idea to me haha...zdaeng;1779776 said:Nowdays is not that easy to get parts for the 70s celica and also Celica Supra here. However, for Supra MK3 body parts are easily to get since most of the people here are interested with the engine. They swap the 1JZ engine to their 4x4 vehicle, Toyota Mark2, Cefiro and etc.
Here's another example of conversion:-
Ahh... you're right, the sides are pulled in a lot tighter to the body than on the Mk3. Looks like the factory widebody fenders though.Poodles;1779781 said:It's not wide enough, they narrowed the front bumper a lot there
