What on Earth? (3 pc wing question)

WTF.

Wing I just bought in Miami (dark color) vs Jeff's stock '89 wing (solid vs hollow)

Another of the side pieces:


It's hard to tell, but this one sits about 1" or so higher than Jeff's stock '89.

EPC shows same part number for all '89+

Makes me think this is an aftermarket spoiler - any ideas?

Before it's mentioned - yes, I see it has no studs. Yes, I'll be fiberglassing new studs into the wing. Just trying to figure out what the hell I have here, since it doesn't seem to be stock.

Are you sure you got a factory wing? You may have gotten a Kaminari. A Kaminari has hollow side pieces and the center piece sits flush with the bumper. A Kaminari is not a bolt on wing.

I don't know about Kaminari, but my stock 89+ sides are hollow and so are the stock 89+ sides he posted..

I have a Kaminari. About the Kaminari Wing:

- the enter piece lines up with the rear bumper
- the center piece is slightly higher than stock
- mounting holes on the hatch do not match up with the mounting holes on the center piece
- side pieces are slightly longer than stock
- side pieces do not have studs

If your wing fits the description above, then chances are that you have a Kaminari.

Yep, look at where the radio antenna comes through - it's bowled, like mine. The replica also sits about 3/4" higher than the stocker, fyi. Also looks to be about 1/2" longer on the side wings.

That's ok, I like the way it looks. I've got to custom mount it anyway, so no problem!

kinda like how you can pic of aftermarket replicas of most OEM spoilers these days...
