I went with 15w50 Royal Purple Synthetic and it is awsome! the thicker oil gives better oil preshure! The Royal Purple is soo smooth and i would change brands for anything! Although i hear Castrol Syntec is great stuff too!:biglaugh:

jetjock said:The regular Mobil One 10-30? The red capped stuff? How many miles on it when you dump? I wish I lived closer to you. Anyone on the west coast dumping a group IV or V syn at low miles and want to part with it for shipping and a few cents on the quart to make up for the hassle?
I hope you're not using the Synthetic for the initial break in.....Satan said:I'm starting off w/Mobil1 10w30 (~$21 for 5qts at WalMart).... We change the oil often and that's where we found it cheapest. We also use it in the fiance's MKIV N/A. If it causes me any issues, I'll go to 15w50... we'll see with this 2J, since it has about 65K miles (I think).
