So i got my block and head back from the machine shop and im planning on running a titan mhg. Im running stock pistons and rods. There was a combined .008 of material removed off the block and head decks. I was going to go through all the numbers and find all the specs but figured since it was really only down to a 1.4mm or 2.0mm mhg maybe someone could gimme a quick answer. Or tell me i need to calculate everything :D If thats the case where do i find the oem specs so i can figure all this out and input it all into the compression ratio calculator?

Stock gasket compressed is 1.37mm.
.008" = 0.2032mm
1.37 + .2032 = 1.5732

So get whatever is >= 1.5732mm

Meant to ask this before but forgot. When i searched i found that the stock hg is 1.37mm compressed, but are the thicknesses that are given for mhg's the compressed measurements aswell?

MHG's don't compress...at least enough to make a difference. They are made out of steel after all. ;)

Ooo, thanks for sharing the HG compressed specs, I remember trying to figure out my engine's compression ratio and not knowing that and it was screwing me all up. So now I know the compression in my engine should have gone up since it went from stock to 1.2mm MHG

If my cyl walls have only been honed, is it ok to go with the 84mm? How do you decide between the 83, 84, 85, or 86mm gaskets? Should i measure the top of my cylinders and go with the closest one? For the cometics though im down to either an 84 or an 86. Im thinking maybe the 86 is for people who have bored out motors?

Stock bore is 83mm...you want the MHG to match as close as possible to eliminate the gap at the top of the piston stroke. Carbon can accumulate in the gap and create a hot spot. In any case, the MHG bore needs to be slightly larger than the cylinder bore.
