yeah that helps out a lot, thanks! is there a specific model/year of car/amp that i should get? maybe a serial number off the amp as well if its not too much trouble...it might help the search. i think i might get better results with a model number because i'm having trouble finding good results on ebay

and i'd have a stronger starting place. i figure ebay or a wrecking yard will help me out on this one.

my 2000 tundra deck fits right in , the amp just need relocation not much room but you can use it without the amp it comes with. i also fit a 2006 scion TC deck in

the plugs were changed in 1985

no, you get a harness for the deck and you can buy a 2$ harness for toyotas 85+ and you wire them together yourself. the harness you buy will come with a "what is what " guide as will the deck. and you just plug it into your own harness.

all stock toyota/lexus decks will plug and play though as long as it is 85 and up (as i said on my mkiii supra i put a brand new deck in from scion). sometimes the antenna plug is diff or it comes with two but the deck usually accomidates for that. or you can just buy one that will fit and run it through your car and it'll work just the same :):)

what i have run into is plugs that dont go anywhere but all these are for are external mods like to the steering wheel etc the main harness stays the same i can post some pictures if you want

well i just found a mp3-capable cd player on craigslist for 60 bucks... its BOSS MP3-3130R they seem to sell/sold for around 80-90 dollars. one on ebay sold for 25 with one bid... not sure if i should get it so i'm making a thread questioning the company's quality...
