What kind of IC piping would you want?

Which figure appeals to you?

Stainless? Why not aluminum? Cheaper... Lighter... Dissapates heat better... and wont rust...

The problem I had when my pipes ran straight across the motor was that it rubbed on the skeletal frame of the hood and it also rubbed on the oil line going into my turbo... *I didnt have a stock turbo, so it might not be a problem with the stocker* It ended up rubbing a hole int he pipe where it touched the oil line... I had a hole the diameter of a pencil and about 2 inches long...

This is the mess when I first bought the car... *ahhhh the memories* But you can see where it was rubbing big time in this pic...

Does anybody remember Trent's old set-up?

It was similar to the number 2 picture of hardpipes but there was one less bend on the upper route.

It looked like two 90 degree bends up top.

This would be the shortest route.

what I would like is custom piping 3" to go from a 25X12X4 Front mount to a q45 tb, to a 67mm large housing turbo....

But, I don't think this would be a choice to make, because there would only be a few people interested.

/end off topic.....lol

The only problem with that Gixx is that we arent running a normal set up, and Im sure the way you will have your turbo/IC/TB set up will be different than mine, as far as location goes...

Yep, since I had a local guy build my FFIM similar to rons, but with some changes. That and I have a much different turbo than you.

I think through the snorkel hole is the best thing I have tried in the past for stock IC routing.
