It is good to have the tow hook. Especially if you get pulled over and the cops tow your car for some reason. If the tow-trucker does not attach the restaints to the hook and damage occurs you can sue them. It is best to make sure the hook is extremely noticeable, have it contrast in color.
the stock brackets are great for a stock car, but if your car is lowered, or has a lip or an aftermarket bumper, they are much harder to access. my new ic plumbing goes right by the hook, so it would likely get damaged if i needed a tow.
does anyone have a clue on how to screw on the aftermarket tow hooks on the front properly?.. do you screw em to the grill bar or what..? pics if possible.. thanks
