its had 2 pipes going into and out of the tank.. they read "To Tank" and "Purge" the "To Tank" pipe is harder and it smells like gasoline, but the "Purge" pipe is softer and has no smell... so is it ok to place a silicone pipe to replace the "Purge" pipe?
it was snapped.. and i had a bunch of silicone hose (blue color) laying around and i was thinking of puttin them on...
the hose was bought by my cousin for his 7M-GE also wen he was living here.. and he said he didnt want them so he just threw them here.. and now that I have a 7M-GE.. why not use em? haha
Yes, you can replace the purge line with silicone. The purge line is a a regular vacuum line, no liquid fuel should be going through it. Some vapor yes, but you'll probably get rid of the car long before you have to replace the silicone hose due to it breaking down.

It's an emissions requirement... some people remove them. Given that you're in CA... I might think twice about it.
