the purge vacuum line on my throttle body was clipped by the previous owner and it just has a screw stuck in it to plug it. what is this vacuum line for?? what are the pro's and con's of having it like this?
Or, better yet, put it back to stock. Toyota had a purpose for the stock components. If you ever go back, let it be part of a well studied plan, and know why you are doing it.
Edit: Guess I should explain that. It goes to the BVSV on the t-stat housing then on to the EVAP cannister. It's how the engine burns fuel vapor sent from the tank that got stored in the canister. Put another way to prevent HC emissions the fuel system is supposed to be sealed...
