what is this wire? It is near the Fuse box.

I just was working on my headlights. They havent been working. Well, i pulled out the battery and i was fussing around and i found this wire that was disconnected and it looks like it should either be in the fuse box or on the battery. I have a 1jz and i might have disconnected it for some reason during the swap. My cruise control doesn't work and my abs doesn't work, but everything else does. Let me know. Thanks!

yup that is a ground for the fuse box. my guess is your headlights and stuff will start workin with that fixed

Well, the lights work fine they one of the wires shorted and the motor goes up but not down. I have traced the wire and found the problem. That is crazy. 3 years with that disconnected.
I assume it was disconnected by the previous owner. It was stuffed below the fuse box.
Should i ground it to the body or battery?

Make sure the strap is clean with some sand paper and sand the body good where you mount it. Thre years of sitting will collect a lot of corosion. the cleaner the ground the brighter the lights will be.
