Thinking about stripping them down to be powder-coated or high-temp paint, but was also wondering if they'd look any good just stripped and polished (if the base metal will take a polish).
if you can powder coat i would, its a tought coating, far superior to paint. you can get them to look polished with powder coat also, not to mention all of the different colors powder coat has, and the 'vein' style powder coat looks really good.
The problem with powder coat is the heat...I've seen powder coating dull and even change color shade...it's going to depend on the material used and the skill of the person applying it. Heat resistant paint is about as good, if you do it right. A polish with clear anodizing doesn't fade...neither does ceramic.
