Come on people, where can we buy some MKIV 550 injectors?..............:biglaugh:

I'm spending a little more I'm sure, but I'm buying a kit from 935 for my single turbo. It's going to bolt right up and all I have to do is install the exhaust up to the downpipe. I'm getting a Garrett 60-1 turbo with the .70ar. It's a t4 flange, and hopefully with some 264 cams and injectors I will be close to 450 rwhp....................:dunno:

What do you think? any different suggestions Rakkassan or anyone else?

how about the china manifolds? Any fitment issues with them? I'm leaning towards getting that one because it already has a v-band flange for the tial wastegate.

stryder/xo2 manifold is a thumbs down in our book.

The china manifold will bolt on out of the box perfectly. I hear the SSauto bolts up out of the box as well, but it is well, SSauto.

There is also a little known china twin GT25 manifold, no wastegate ports though.

Here's the confusing part to me; how do I know what the 'china manifold' is? Everyone refers to it by that name, but it's not listed that way with suppliers....

pretty much anything on eBay is gonna be a china mani

you'll have to buy HKS Greddy or Stufff from 935 MVP and all that

i dont see a problem with the china manifolds

9 times out of 10 the people that dog them are people that haven't even tried it

tissimo's is doing perfectly fine no problems whatsoever

i'll be using a china mani when i go single on my 2J cause its been used on a car that dyno'd 700+whp

thats a damn good test and its still fine!!!!

cause all these other places want like 1000 dollars for some of these damn mani's if not more....i'll be damned if i ever spend that much on some tubing and flanges

tissimo

Stock is boring :(

i've had no problems with mine cept for the wg tube. I've heard of the china manifold hitting the frame rail or being REALLY close to it..

twin t25 manifolds ehh? I guess i wouldn't have to build little log manis then.. link?

The china manifold is the one that comes , out of china. The same manufacturer as the Y pipes. Also known as the china man, or ling.

He used to sell direct, but now has high purchasing requirements to keep the confusion down. Several people like the place in Cali and others can bring the parts in.

I bring them in as well, but on a smaller scale. I can't deal with customs like with that one big shipment anymore. It was a huge PITA. I would much rather pay more and have it come right to me.

The difference is that I offer a personal warranty on any of the china manifolds/ypipes, both for fitment AND cracking because I know of so many in use for a long time. Any issues, you would deal directly with me instead of China or any other vendor.

For some, the hassle free warranty is worth more then saving money on some random eBay purchase.

aside from the fitment issue about the stryder/x02 manifolds do they crack easily? because i had recently purchased one, and from the looks they're not too shabby IMO. the welds looks really clean, but im just more concerned about it cracking. i was thinking about fabricating some custom brace for it and also installing a flex pipe so i can avoid stressing the manifold as much as possible.
does anyone have any good luck with this manifold?

Honestly most tubular manifolds can crack, I have personaly reapaired/ welded up 3-4 Greddy/ HKS manifolds, log and E-bay replicas too. Heck even most stock Toyota cast manifolds are cracked. But yes the chances are higher with the china made replicas.

And just so you guys know, $1000 for a hand made tubular turbo manifold is a good price. I have also built a few of these, start off with $100-200 for true stainless steel flanges, another $150-200 for the stainless bends and piping, another $25+ for welding supplies then about 10-16 hours of hand fabrication and welding and you can easilly surpass $1000 for a top quality hand made manifold that will fit perfect and without warped flanges that you have to redrill the hole to get it to bolt on, or cut and reweld the wastegate pipes.

I really like this one, it looks similar to the hks manifold.

ic.... thanks for the facts.. do you think thermo coated the manifold would help it from not cracking as easily as to just leaving it as it is? or would that be a waste of money?

Well last night I tried to install the manifold from the GB here on SM, and it did not fit. The front wastegate runner is against the frame rail and doesnt allow the flange to even get flat on the head. I ended up "clearencing" the wastegate pipe about 1/2" to even get it on the head. I guess I will be removing the wastegate pipe and weld on new ones to make it fit.
