What is TEMS?!?!

yeah i know it has something to do with suspension....yes i did search and found people saying they had stuff but i dont know what it is or what it does..... please help....oh and how do i know if my supra has tems...isnt it a factory thing on some?:icon_conf

TEMS is an electornically controlled suspension system. Toyota electronic modulated suspension or somthing.

Baiscally stock you have 2 settings. Normal(soft) and Sport(medium).Dampening rates that is.

To tell if you have it... By the shifter there should be 2 buttons. On the guage cluster there should be some TEMS lights. Under the hood the 2 strut tops should have a metal cap and some wires coming out from em.

I have the HKS TEMS controller that lets me select hard setting as well. To go with my HKS TEMS struts =]

its an on/off switch for the struts. if it's old,it's junk. i removed mine when i replaced my struts and springs,and got a pocket from a minus-tems supra. the pocket fits my wallet perfect.
