I didn't find any change in mine...but the Supra was still somewhat of a gamble...Good analogy.JustAnotherVictim said:I thought it worked like a slot machine, both the supras I bought had change in there when I checked
of course, they could always put more COIN holders, but when it comes to CUP holders what do they do? Give us the sorry lame excuse of a cup holder for the center arm rest.Idealsupra said:ummmm yeah.... ill just be nice with this... lol
the "coin" ones are not switches...they open up and you can put COINS in them.... its just another coinholder or two that toyota put in the car.
over the years toyota put a different veriety of switches there and they used the coinholders to fill up voids.
they dont even hold my coffee cup for cryin out loud.. all well its a sacrifice im willing to make :evil2:Jeff Lange said:The answer is no more Big Gulps. Sorry, price of owning a Supra.

LOL not many would have a bank balance that would make that feature work correctly!Turbo-Joe said:yeah, it would be cool if you could just swipe your card on the supra and mods would appear out of thin air!
Satan said:In all my daze (days), I have yet to figure out what an "L" is.... Please educate me.
The "coin" holder was designed as an afterthought... It was supposed to have an opening on the other side, where you could DIRECTLY pour your money into your Supra.
Because of the poor design of the COIN-receptacle, we are now forced to troll the for-sale sections, bitch about Autozone (Pep-Boys, etc,), and complain about the cost of aftermarket options (lips, etc). The best mod, will be when someone is able to replace that coin holder, with a swipe-thingy, to use your ATM card (plus surcharges).:biglaugh:

Jeff Lange said:Toyota likes to use coin holders instead of blank plates a lot of times. I commend them on this, lol. I hate blank plates.
On a side note, some 86.5's, and 87's don't have the coin holder, and places like Germany never got it.
See, now I've added some useful info to this thread .
On a side note: I never keep change in my car... it rattles, and that's SO annoying. Change, stay in pocket!
