If you already have a 3.5" Dp a full 3.5" exhaust would be best. I assume you have a larger turbo than stock, so you will be able to reallytake advantage of the larger piping. Yes 3.5" will be loud, it isnt quite as loud on a 1jz as they dont have as deep of an exhaust note as the 7m which does tend to drone at about 2200-2600 rpm. A resonator will make it quieter.........a bit. I run a full BIC 3.5" DP, TP , Thundercat back on my 1jz and it sounds perfect!!!.

I've got a full 3" system with the RSR GTII. Damn loud, but can be loads quieter when you need it to be, it's called "removable silencer included" ;).

Like starscream5000 said it's also called a silencer but honestly, I don't know why people say its a SUPER loud exhaust. In comparison to other ones out there it might be LOUDER, but it's not loud. I've had my RSR GT2 for about a season now, I'm 19 and I've had zero problems with cops. It's basically common sense, when there are cops around don't step on it. My exhaust setup is megan downpipe with a testpipe 3" all the way through, and if I chill under 3grand my car is very quiet.

I've got the Kakimoto Exhaust on mine and it is by far the best sounding exhaust I've had

It's got a cracking burble to it and as my missus said as I over took her in her MX5, it sounds like the space shuttle on launch going by :biglaugh:
