Ok hex plug the one behind the number six spark plug. Holy cow thats alot of plugs IJ lol. YOU DEFINANTLY COME FROM A STRANGE LAND HAHA. But yes grim it is a hex plug guess I should have said that. So I shouldn't have used sealer oh well thats what I get, but I can't finish till I get a hex plug are they expensive? Lost my job 2 weeks ago ran out of money sooooooo I hope they are cheap oh and grim thanks again for the flywheel bolts from awhile back I have not forgot about it and plan to buy you that coke if I ever get to any meets or if our paths cross.
The water pump gaskets ive used are just gasket unless its got some clear sealer. Sealed fine last time i did one on a buddy car.
I didn't use gasket sealer on my water pump the gasket that came in the rebuild kit the gaskets were like what IJ said have some coating on them, made for easy replacement. Are you talking about those hex plugs leaking hvyman? I sealed them with the sealer too except the one I or my father miss placed when he was freaking out over the spider and damn near sawed his hand in half with the table saw. It wasn't funny at the time but now all we can do is laugh.
Ya in the middle of the spark plugs. They leak for me. Its usually because that plate that holds the plug wires in has a rubber ring for those plugs and after the years they got hard and crumbled. there is a p/n for a napa o ring that works well is floating around somewhere around here and that's what im going to do next to hopefully not remove that plate because i like it. I think my prob was i never had enough time to allow the fipg to dry so they leaked.
Smear of 3Bond 1207b on mine = no leaks ever.
