In the first pic, the two black plugs are for the auxiliary AC fans, which you probably dont need. The single pin one is the AC compressor clutch switch, and if you want it to work it gets wired to the matching wire on EA2. I can't tell what the fourth plug is, maybe for a relay.

Second pic is the plug for the noise filter (a small black thing that bolts to the fender in that area).

In the third pic the big rectangular plug is for something i've never used. The smaller plug is C1, the factory plug for the engine harness to fusebox connection, it looks like most wires have already been cut out of it and wired to EA2.

That vac fitting goes to the power steering idle up valve.
The last vac line goes to the other end of the power steering idle up valve.

The vac lines go to a valve that should be bolted to the pressure line output of the power steering pump. Its a black cap screwed into the side of the fitting with two vac connections on it.

Yeah, the 7m filter will work on the 1jz.

The cleaner control relay? I think that might be for the headlight washers...which 89+ cars don't have (I'm guessing by the wiring that the car with the 1jz is 89+). If you could get me a picture of that white plug from a different angle I might be able to tell you what it is.

Yeah, I don't know what that plug is, where do the wires go for it?

Definitely cap off that line, almost all the 1jz vac fittings are on the intake so just cap anything left over after you hook everything up. Also, make sure you have the map sensor connected to the filtered vac connection on the inner side of the intake mani.

Driftmotion sells a power steering pressure line for the 1jz, or you can go to a local auto parts place and order a line for a 94 Nissan Maxima. It is the right length and size, you reuse the stock banjo bolts to put it on. It runs about $30 around here.

what do i need to do to get these lines to hook up? i know one goes to the hydro fan and the other goes to the oil cooler.
photo3..jpgphoto[1]..JPGphoto5..jpgphoto2..jpg

this is were i need to hook up the high pressure line right?photo..jpg
so i need a high pressure line or a low pressure line? when i went to the parts store they wanted to know what size engine for the 94 nissan max. what exact kind of line do i ask for? the lines they were showing me all had to ends for banjo bolts.

thanks a million

The high pressure line comes off of the power steering pump itself, and goes to the steering rack. It has banjo bolt fittings on each end. The pressure line is the same for either maxima engine.

The fittings you show attached to the passenger frame rail are for the power steering cooler. You can use it as a hydrofan cooler, that's what I did with mine since its in the right spot. The smaller line coming from the reservoir on the passenger side goes to the fitting on the fan motor, if you want to run a cooler, you can put it inline with that. I ran mine from the pump to the fitting on the frame rail, then from the other fitting next to it, back to the reservoir. Disconnect the line that's already on the other fitting.

That line is the power steering return line, and its in the wrong place at this point, just like the line in the 2nd pic with the banjo fitting (which is the pressure line). I simply unhooked them both at the steering rack on the other end and removed them.

huh, so stuff is hooked up wrong already. can someone put up pics of where things are suposed to look like and what hook up were. just so i know i am on the right track. that would help out alot.

so were does the hose from the res on the driver side for the power steering go to, if it does'nt go to the fitting with the black end with two vac ports on it.

The smaller of the two hose connections from the power steering reservoir goes to the return line connection on the power steering rack. The bigger line goes to the power steering pump, there should be another fitting on it above where the pressure line fitting.

The power steering lines are all messed up because on the 7m, the power steering pump is on the passenger side of the car, and its on the drivers side on the 1jz.

EDIT: Also, make sure you have extended the big black wire from the alternator, since its also on the opposite side of the engine bay from where it was.

Sweet. So a maxima PS line fits? I keep learning stuff for this swap everytime I come on here. Just saved $60 with that tip. I can get a used maxima PS hose for like five bucks at the u-pull-it. Thanks.

Looks good, that's a clean engine! If you still need a throttle cable that fits one from a 92-96 camry or corolla works well. (Didn't see one in the pics)

Btw: It's JonoTurbo, my name is Jon haha
