what holds this piece on?

is it a screw or one of those black "button" pieces

My 89 has screws, and my 87 had screws there. Phillips #2 IIRC.

the trim piece is held on by a screw at the turn signal,and held in by a few push clips.
Remove the side marker light,CAREFULLY,and the rest should come out
