Package in the Mail!

DMH 3" Electric Cutout

I bought from DMH because of their 4 year warranty.
I'm thinking its gonna go in the test pipe spot. Just gotta get some flanges on it.
This will go on as soon as i take my DDP off my old car.
..and maybe get a quieter catback:sarcasm:

UPDATE UPDATE
It's almost been a year, i think its time for an update..
I've been pretty busy with repairing and restoring odds and ends and i've done a couple modifications as well.
I've wanted to focus on making use of the power upgrades to the car, and using the 57 trim CT to it's capacity.

Before
p1535587_1.jpg

This how i bought the car.
It came stocked with chock full of goodies

Rebuilt 7M
HKS HG
57 trim CT
AFPR
Walbro
IC setup
exhaust
6-puck
solid motor mounts (yeah, took that garbage out)
something else i'm forgetting

It just needed a couple things to tie the whole setup together..

..and so then i got hit by truck

p1535587_2.jpg

Yeah, was pretty pissed about that especially with the whole painting the car thing.
Insurance called it totalled..and gave me a bunch of money. That's sad really :(
I've been questioning where i'm going with this body, so i decided to hold on to the money from the body repairs/paint and patch it up for now..

..so on to tieing up those loose ends.

Had them checked, flowed, and got new caps and rings. The guy said they overflowed his machine and was warning me of overfueling, but they were consistent ;) Ill take it. Many of you probably read about this already..

I have my HKS 3" downpipe on now. I'm going to recirculate my DDP before i install it back on the car.. as well as bore out the wastegate hole a couple MMs.

My interpretation from another thread..
p1535587_12.jpg

sick nasty yup

Installed

Clean and almost-Stock Look. I dig it.

....

See that Q7 on my lift? Yeah, it was there for a while.
Here's me doing a shortblock.
but that's a whole thread by itself..

p1535587_15.jpg

i just think this is a cool picture :p

p1535587_16.jpg

....

Back on track..

The cutout came with this switch. I didn't like this switch.

I wired up a better switch.
p1535589_1.jpg

I was going to put the new style switch in the useless coin tray next to the fog light switch but found it to be much more comfortable elsewhere.

HIDs installed in Hella Housings.

Brand New targa seals installed.

Why are they green? They were allll green, that's all i could get off before the storm hit..

So i would probably never buy a fancy flip out radio/dvd player/amp/ipod interface shebang...but you can't beat scoring one for twenty bucks:naughty:

p1535589_8.jpg

Amp
p1535589_9.jpg

iPod interface?! SOLD.
p1535589_10.jpg

Got a toyota radio harness for it and mocked it up for now..

p1535589_11.jpg

So my car ran like shit for a while and the AFRs were alll wrong.

In Diagnostic Mode
p1535589_12.jpg

p1535589_13.jpg

Spraying around with carb cleaner and reading the AFR..worked good.
but the smoke tester worked better..
Intake manifold gasket blown in several places.
Took care for the intake gasket another night at the shop. Runs great now :)

Took apart cleaned, and lubed my HKS SSQVizzle.

p1535589_14.jpg

It works better after my service

Recirc!
p1535589_15.jpg

Runs better, sounds different and quieter. I'd say its more intimidating now :biglaugh:

how'd you recirculate it? I have a recirculating tip that fits a 1" ID hose, but it won't plug into the accordian pipe. Did you get an adapter? if so, from where..?

she's looking great though, no doubt about it..!

thanks guys!

RazoE- i have a recirculation adapter on the hks doodad.
That goes to my recirc hose which is a 1.8T coolant hose. hehe, perfect bend!. Inside diameter is just a little smaller.
That fits onto the metal cylinder in the accordian pipe port... I would rather use the one closer to the turbo, but i couldn't make the bend.
The hose is slightly larger than the port so i had to get it over the rubber and clamp it.
I would like to get a reducing adapter to make it a better fit..once i find one laying around..

I'd look into rerouting that fuel line. Little too close to the alternator for my liking. Other than that its looking great.

nice..! I need a 25mm to 20mm adapter (or 1"-7/8-ish for us) to fit into my accordian pipe. But the only ones I can find are plastic aquarium reducers in the UK...:(
