As the subject suggests.

I'm looking at making around the 220rwkw mark from my 2 Litre.

Will be using 440cc 7M-GTE injectors, HKS S-AFR and VPC.
Have Bosche 014 in tank.

Cheers

Hunt

2 liter? what 2 liter? the smalles supra motor was 2.5 liters.

back on topic: i use an Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator with no problems. it is regarded as one of the best. SX also makes a good one. i love my aeromotive, but it's pricey.

How necessary is it to have one with the boost reference and rise ratio? I need a afpr myself and I'm going to get dyno tuned as soon as I install. Do I really need one that dumps in extra fuel for more boost?

You need one with a boost reference. This is not to dump in extra fuel under boost, it is to keep the pressure difference between the fuel rail and intake manifold the same, so that for any given injector duty the same amount of fuel will flow.

You do not want a RRFPR. RRFPRs are for hondas and other ecus that cannot electronically compensate for boost. Instead, the fuel pressure just gets really high. Its a crappy way to tune, its like having a hybrid efi and carb setup under boost (although all the fuel still goes through the injectors, half of the tuning is mechanical).

Yup. Aeromotive.
I don't believe I've ever seen an EFI regulator that isn't vac referenced...

Or you can get it for $135 from Summit and make the lines for a few bucks.

I almost wish we had purchased the kit, the bracket and all really help the install go smoothly. But yeah, it cost $20 for all the fittings and stainless from our local hydro fitting supply house.
