lowers the shift pattern rpms for autos to get better economy. if i remember correctly my auto would shift near 2800-3000 in PWR and around 2400-2600 in ECON.

born2drv doesn't know what he's talking about. :p

It's simply A/C in a mode which uses less gas, for days when you want A/C, but don't need THAT much A/C. North American Supras never had the option.

If you use less gas, the cooling effect will not happen at all. Since we don't have them here, I will speculate.

It cycles the compressor less often, or not at all. Maybe that is what Jeff meant by less gas.

Yes, it cycles the compressor less often, resulting in less fuel used.

off topic; but speaking of MR2's....there are two in my area i asked the guy about and he said if i take them now he'll take 300 bux for both.

one is nice with a seized engine, the other is rough (body) with a rod knock.....lol (ran low on oil, and was driven without coolant, respectively)

anybody want them? i wasnt going to bring them up here but since someone mentioned them.....heh....

'sall good. not my cars. i just figured i'd help the guy out a bit. i almost posted in the for sale forum but...if he wants the money he'll find a way i guess. hopefully they don't get junked....THAT would suck. lot of good parts. and he mentioned one had the factory blue and black seats...and i havent been in an MR2 in quite a while but maybe that means they are upgraded seats? i cant remember if MR2 interiors are two-tones. for example some of the supras that have the momo wheel and recaro seats...and the seats had two colors. (i might be wrong on the brands but you know what i mean.)
