Okay.. new manifold and a T4 turbo. now i'm happy I've got everything mocked up. but I just noticed my dip stick tube no longer goes... anywhere. What has everyone else been doing?
what do you do with the oil dipstick tube...

Flexibility is key in many places... oil dipstick tubes and girlfriends come to mind. Seriously, I just bent mine too... as long as you don't mess with the length, you should be fine.
I just make another bracket that hold the tube to turbine housing bolt. I am afraid of making kink if I bent the tube.

yeah i'm with you on this one. I'm just gonna get a nice pipe bender and do small changes at a time and figure otu where I need it.
whoever made a brake it to the turbine housing, i'm curious to see pictures of that.
I'd like to hear how easy it was to bend the tube by hand without kinking it. Anyone try heating it up with a torch first?

I did it by hand and it was pretty easy...maybe im just really strong LOL Just kidding....i didnt have to bend it too much its pretty much in the stock location right next to the turbo but i have a precision turbo and tubular manifold that sit a lil higher and further from the engine than stock.....ill see if i cant get a pic up here soon
well since the 7mgte in my mk2 is front sump, i used a big block chevy dipstick. bent it to fit where i wanted and had to trim about an inch or so off the top of the tube for it to read right. started wit hthe stock tube and put it 1 qt over full. then adjusted the new dipstick so the full mark was the current "full" oil level. makes checking it a snap now. lol
