The paint on the pulley grooves can cause the belt to slip at first and leave it on the belt. I taped off the grooves when I painted mine.

Dylan JZ;1912791 said:thanks! I have a friend that's making them for $260 shipped (including PP fees) to anywhere in the Lower 48 States.. They're hand made, thick, fit really well, and cheap compared Shine or the real RE-Amemiya item. For me, it was an easy decision.
FG? He should get an account on here and become a vendor, he would be overrun with orders lol. Also very interested in this, not sure how it would work with my hiro lip though?Dylan JZ;1912821 said:nothing for the front yet. lmk when you want to pick one up, and I'll give you his information.
Dylan JZ;1912827 said:yeah, FRP/fiberglass, but since a ton of people on Facebook are asking for CF, he says he's gonna see if he can get it made in that as well. Not sure how it would work with the Hiro either.. you have to cut the diffuser if you want it to fit like it does on mine, unless you have an RSR GTII like Rodel's (his might be modified), S2 dual can exhaust, or something else that isn't large vertically. There just isn't enough room for a regular can regardless of orientation; the tips are too big, let alone the can, and mine is modified to sit as close to the bumper as I could get it.
I'm not sure how he feels about being a vendor, but it can't hurt to ask him. Since these are made by hand, I don't think he's gonna have a ton, probably more like made on a case-by-case basis (which for the A70 community is probably smart). I'm personally far more interested in how the FD RX7 community will react to such a great price.
[EDIT: He said he isn't really interested in becoming a vendor, he'd rather just list 1 or 2 in the for sale section or something, but he doesn't have enough posts/time here to do that either, so that's that I guess. There's like 3 main A70 groups on FB, and he frequents those, so maybe that's good enough in his eyes. Either way, if folks are interested I'll PM them his page to add.]
