Finally fixed my boost leak turns out the turbo outlet hose was torn at the turbo, replaced it with the hard pipe I bought from DM months and months ago and replaced some other hoses that were leaking like the two short hoses on the valve covers and the hose on the turbo inlet and took her for a test run and threw me back into my seat because I forgot my boost was turned up to 10psi lol. It came on very strong and boosted quickly. The open wastegate on the downpipe is really loud I thought my turbo was going to blow but I remembered how it sounds from the videos I have seen. Never really heard the open dump before.

Ah well as long as it looks similar to the one I posted I am fine with it as long as it's not a fart can and sounds like the videos I have seen.

the one a buddy had on his 1j looked like the pic a oval muffler to the round tip (personally I didn't like the look of it) the other I want to say looked more like the blitz canister/tip maybe try making a thread and ask for a recent pic of one someone has gotten in the last year or so

why use 1000s for a 400hp build?

cause its only gonna be 400-450 for one more year. then 600+ Slow but steady build. each year i'll put anywhere from $1500-$3000 into it. I'll have all the supporting mods to get her to 600+ by this fall/winter and just be lacking the big single, then next year i'm swapping to a single PT 6262 BB.

That makes sense :)
I got forged pistons for my motor even though i'm going to be running the stock ct26 for a while because I hope to bolt on my greddy t4 manifold with a larger turbo and 550s later down the road. Ah supporting mods :)

haha yes got to love the supporting mods. its been a fun journey with my car. 13 years in the making. it was my first car and BONE stock when i got it from the original owner. its been enjoyable experiencing the little differences along the way. I feel pretty happy that my tuner Reid (KaizenSpeed) was thoroughly impressed with how strong the motor is with just my current mods.

Replaced a bad gasket from the thermostat housing to the head, as well as a 90 degree coolant house the runs from the bottom of the housing that was ruined by oil from a leaking CPS. Feels great to have her back up and driving again even if it was only down 2 days. :biglaugh:

Oh and I managed to take of my BOV and replace the O ring in there that wasn't seated properly and giving a pretty big boost leak.

I hate that little 90 degree hose under the CPS made me change my water pump since it looked like mine was leaking but I saw that hose was torn. I need to replace my CPS to stop that leak.

Yeah my CPS cover was cracked and the oring on the shaft was bad. Replaced both about 6 months ago or so. But I guess the shaft is getting idk worn. Cause there was oil in the unit tonight again when I took it off.

I did the same thing and mine is still leaking, so I need a rebuild kit but I rather just spend the extra money and get a new/rebuilt one for a couple of hundred bucks. I don't trust myself with drilling into the CPS it's a pretty critical part. That is also why my little 90 degree hose burst because all of that leaking oil is dropping right on it and oil softens rubber hoses. I wonder if someone has made like a stainless steel line for it or something.

Ah the CPS. My o-ring and the CPS cover gasket had both turned into hard plastic, so I suspect they had never been changed. It felt really good when I put the CPS back in the engine with the o-ring, so hopefully no leaks. Will definitely be watching it.

I didn't notice damage to the coolant hose, but I think oil had been dripping right on the bypass hardpipe where it connects to the bottom of the water housing. That gasket was soaked in oil when I changed it and came off in one piece with no resistance when I removed the hardpipe. Good to know I need to watch that hose too.

Am I the only one who takes excessive amounts of pictures of my Supra? I feel like every time I see it parked somewhere different or if I'm at a place with nice scenery I HAVE to whip out my phone and snap pictures. It drives my girlfriend crazy. I swear half the pictures I've taken on my phone are of my car.

I do too, but usually I only have my phone and the pictures don't come out very good. That first picture is pretty cool on the wooden bridge.
